In this article we will show you how to map Datalix fields to Salesforce fields in order to update your Salesforce records with Datalix data.
Step 1 - connect your Salesforce instance to Datalix. Note: if you do not know how to do this, please refer to the How to connect your Salesforce instance to Datalix article.
Step 2 - once your Salesforce instance is successfully connected, you will see a Salesforce Sync menu option. Click on it.

Step 3 - make sure Write to Salesforce is toggled ON

Step 4 - select the Salesforce object that you would like to map Datalix fields to.

Step 5 - click on the Salesforce Field drop-down to select the Salesforce field that you would like to map to Datalix. Note: for Technologies, it is recommended to map to Text or Text Area field types (minimum characters = 250). For Website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn, it is recommended to map to URL field types.

Step 6 - once you have selected your Salesforce field, click on the Field Type to choose if you want to set a Static value (which is NOT tied to a Datalix field) or a Dynamic value (which is tied to a Datalix field).

Step 7 - once you have finished mapping your Salesforce field to the appropriate Datalix field or value, click on the + button to save the setting and add another if you choose to.

Step 9 - If you need to edit an existing field mapping, change the field values and then click on the save icon.

Step 10 - That's it! You should now be able to run the Datalix Analyzer or Bulk Analyzer and push the results to your Salesforce instance. 😃
